Contemporary Mexican cuisine with a dash of tradition for good measure.

  • Xolo is short for Xoloitzcuintli, an ancient Mexican dog and the national dog of Mexico. Xolos are guide dogs that help the soul's journey to the underworld—Mictlan. They are amiable dogs and very much loved throughout Mexico. We have a sculpture of a Xolo prominently displayed in our restaurant; her name is Carmen.

  • The space is casual and fun, with great views of the Williamsburg Bridge.

  • Jorge Boetto, born and raised in Mexico City, has been in the restaurant business for nearly two decades, and is currently the owner of beloved Williamsburg restaurants Mesa Coyoacan and Zona Rosa.

Gigi Boetto, is an artist who created paintings for Xolo. She designed, Carmen, our Xolo sculpture, and created the ceiling and displays of Milagros for Bar Milagro.

Bruce Johanns A builder and a model maker, created custom made lighting, furniture and installation pieces for both Xolo and Bar Milagro.

  • We love this area in Williamsburg. The building is on the corner of South 6th Street and Dunham Place. It's close to the water, steps away from the Williamsburg Bridge and around the corner from Domino Park.
